OPEN Acrylics is a line of colors with truly unique features and properties that are designed to work with GOLDEN’s existing products to expand the range of techniques for artists to explore. Artists will immediately notice the uniquely relaxed working characteristics and remarkable ability to remain wet on the palette. Delivering on the promise of remaining wet longer, OPEN Acrylics offer tremendous versatility, allowing them to be used for techniques where traditional acrylics are normally challenging to use, such as portraiture, plein air painting, monoprinting, and screenprinting.

OPEN’s unique performance features are built into the product. However, if the artist wants to modify thickness, sheen or speed up the drying time, OPEN Acrylics can be used in conjunction with other GOLDEN acrylic colors and mediums to achieve the desired result.

The OPEN Acrylics line consists of 40 colors available in 2 oz. tubes, 4 oz. jars, and 8 oz. jars. They are supported by 2 mediums and 1 additive; OPEN Acrylic Gel (Gloss), OPEN Acrylic Medium (Gloss), and OPEN Thinner. In addition, there are two Introductory Sets and one Principal Set available.
