Some of you may recall that in 2001, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and made the decision to have surgery to remove my prostate. The surgery seemed to go well and I was back to work within a month at my usual energy level. In a small percentage of patients the cancer can return. Short of intrusive biopsies, PSA tests are the only real way that doctors have to determine the presence of cancer. Over the past 8 years I have been retested regularly and 3 years ago my PSA began to slowly rise. Unfortunately, the presence of Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) is not de facto proof of cancer. Without a clear diagnosis, I was given a choice to watch and wait or to undergo a preventative daily low-dose radiation treatment lasting 7 weeks. I chose the latter. I began the process last week and will be out of the office for 1-1/2 hours per day, Monday to Friday. Side effects are rare with this procedure and my doctor assures me that my prospects for a long and healthy life are excellent.
As you can imagine, my travel will be restricted until early July.
In the spirit of the openness that characterizes our company I wanted you to be aware of this development.
Please wish me luck and thanks in advance for all your support!

Frank-
You have handled things like a Superman for many years. I am sad to hear of your newest challenge. Now you will have to put on that bulletproof rubberized suit again and get to work. We are all behind you cheering you on. Please know that there are lots of us who are marveled by your grace in these situations and look forward to many more years of your mentoring.
Best of all from me, to you and your family.
Fondly,
Adrienne
