Asher Katz who leads Jacquard Products reports that their Production Manager R. Monte Weatherby, age 40, passed away May 27th at 12:15pm in Santa Rosa, CA from a blood infection. Prix Canson exhibition in NYC! 
The Prix Canson, a prestigious annual drawing prize is partnering with The Drawing Center in NYC to exhibit the works of their 2016 finalists from June 22 through July 1, 2016. We recently got a sneak peek at Forstall Art Center’s new space in downtown Birmingham, AL. They will be moving into the building, constructed in 1903, later this summer. The three story building’s first floor will be the retail space, which is slightly larger than their current location. The second floor will be artist studios and classrooms. Annette and Phillip Forstall will create the perfect living space on the top floor. “We’re all in” says Annette!   At ColArt Americas Jim Allery has accepted the newly created position of VP Operations. He will be based in ColArt’s Piscataway, NJ office and distribution center and will be responsible for logistics, operations and purchasing. Michael Hammer’s son Abe Hammer will join the Sampro team after graduating with a BBA degree next month from the University of Miami School of Business. Abe will continue to live in Miami and will be the third generation in the Hammer family business.  The Sampro team is excited to begin this next phase in development with Abe’s contributions and perspective.
