Committed to providing artists with detailed information about materials and applications, the Technical Support Services team at GOLDEN is connected to the artist community on a daily basis either via email or phone in order to answer their questions and best meet their needs. In addition to answering questions, they also write articles for the Golden website and Just Paint newsletter, as well as conduct research on art materials. Gerard O’Mahony, Canson’s USA CEO recently sent a letter acknowledging and explaining shortages of Arches Watercolor Paper. The culprits have been insufficient capacity at the Annonay France paper mill, inefficiencies and prioritization. All have been addressed by Hamelin’s new VP of Fine Art Papers, but improvements in supply will be challenged until sometime in November.
